Paul Kinnerk in action for Monaleen
Limerick footballer Paul Kinnerk will juggle lining out with the county and coaching Clare hurlers.
Kinnerk was asked by Clare hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald to join his backroom team this year and after consulting the matter with Limerick football manager Maurice Horan, the Monaleen clubman will take up both roles.
The 25-year-old coached the Clare minor hurlers for the past two years and now makes the step up to the senior management, while he will play for Limerick this year and indeed will line out at midfield for the Shannonsiders in this weekend's McGrath Cup clash against UCC.
It will be a hectic year for the St Caimin's of Shannon PE teacher as he will also be trying to help his club with their third consecutive county senior football title.
