The winners' other goal came courtesy of Shane Brennan while Malachy Murray got the east Clare sides three-pointer. Elsewhere, in Group 2, St. Breckan's defeated Corofin with Pat Nagle (0-4) top scoring in a 0-8 to 0-5 win. Meanwhile the other game in this group saw Kilmurry Ibrickane end O'Callaghan's Mills' hopes of making the knockout stages. The 'Bricks came through 2-7 to 2-6 with Aidan Moloney Junior and Thomas O'Connor raising green flags. The Mills goals came from Fergus Donovan and Eoin Pewter. This result means that the round 3 game between Corofin and Kilmurry Ibrickane will decide the last semi-finalist of the 2010 championship.
