The club would like to congratulate the following players on their recent achievements. Current under 21 hurler and Intermediate hurler Eanna Mulvihill who recently won a Fresher's League Medal with the University of Limerick. Sean O Connor who is a member of the Ard Scoil Ris panel for the Harty Cup who recently have to play the final again after a draw with Thurles CBS. Bobby Sherlock is a member of the East Clare U16 Hurling Panel. In addition, we wish Niall Mullen all the best as he is attending Minor Football Trials with the Clare team. In other news, the U21 hurling team played a challenge game against Clonlara and were worthy winners on the day. Padraig O Brien, selector, commented "It is always great to get a win however, plenty of work yet to be done with the panel". The Intermediate Hurlers played Bruree and a draw was a fair result. The Junior footballers league campaign commences this weekend and Smith O Briens are the opponents. Smith O Briens won the Junior B Championship last year and Meelick are aware they will be no pushovers as in recent encounters. They are always a tough team to beat.
