Camogs travel to Athenry
February 26, 2010
Clare's camogs will kick-off their National League campaign this Sunday when they travel to Athenry to take on neighbours Galway.
With Dublin and Wexford to come in their group, Clare will be looking to pick up points where they can and new manager Patsy Fahy of the St Joseph's Doora-Barefield club is hopeful they can start this weekend when they visit the Tribeswomen.
"I will know a lot more on Sunday about what is ahead of us this year. Galway would be in the top four in senior camogie, along with Kilkenny, Cork and Tipperary, so we know that we have a difficult task but we have trained well and we are looking forward to the game," said Fahy.
Meanwhile, St Flannan's College will look to book their place in the All-Ireland Junior Colleges B camogie championship this Saturday when they take on St Mary's of Ballinasloe at Ennis (throw-in 1.00pm).
