22 November 2009Garrycastle created the shock of the day while Kerins O'Rahillys and Kilmurray Ibrickane qualified for the Munster club SFC final as the weather proved all powerful in Charlestown and Portlaoise.
The Connacht club football final between Charlestown and Corofin was called off before throw in while the Leinster semi-final involving Portlaoise and Clara was abandoned early in the second half; such were the terrible weather conditions today.
The other Leinster semi-final saw Garrycastle of Westmeath stun Dublin champions Ballyboden St. Enda's with a 1-8 to 0-6 win in Mullingar.
In Munster Kilmurray Ibrickane of Clare defeated Waterford's Stradbally by 0-9 to 0-6 while Kerry's representatives, Kerins O'Rahilly's, squeezed past Tipperary standard bearers Moyle Rovers by 1-8 to 0-9.
