Special day for Cusack Park

June 05, 2009
Sunday will be a special day for Cusack Park, as the Ennis venue hosts Munster junior and senior football championship semi-finals. Only two years ago, Clare County Board was on the verge of selling the county's HQ and relocating to the Quin Road, but Cusack Park has since undergone Phase One of its redevelopment and will take centrestage this weekend. The new northern stand will be completed in time for the two Clare V Limerick games, while the pitch - already regarded as one of the best in the country - is now understood to be in excellent condition following substantial drainage work. The redevelopment thus far has cost in the region of half a million euro and the venue will remain available for club and county fixtures for the rest of the year.
