Deegan to referee football final

The Central Referees Appointment Control Committee has announced that Laois' Maurice Deegan will referee the All-Ireland SFC final.
Deegan, one of the most highly regarded officials on the referees' panel, will be taking his first senior final, having officiated in the 2005 minor final between Down and Mayo.
This year's minor decider will be refereed by Rory Hickey from Clare.
