Leitrim manager Terry Hyland believes his side have a great chance of causing an upset in the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers.

On Saturday, the Connacht side face Clare at Pairc Sean MacDiarmada in round two of the qualifiers, having defeated Wicklow in the opening round.

This will be a step up for Leitrim, but Hyland told the Leitrim Observer that his charges are well capable of recording a victory.

“Every game is there to be won,” stated Hyland. “We avoided one of the big division one teams in the draw and it is a case of 15 v. 15. We will either be good enough or not and we will go forward from there.”

Leitrim have an injury concern over Jack Heslin who has a groin strain who will be given more time to prove his fitness.
