Clare joint manager Donal Moloney feels that the new look Munster SHC has helped with the recovery time between their drawn All-Ireland SHC semi-final and the replay.

Galway and Clare must do it all again this weekend following last weekend's intriguing semi-final at Croke Park. This time the sides head for Thurles and there are concerns how quickly players will recover after being involved in such a frantic game that saw over 100 minutes of hurling played.

However, Moloney told the Connacht Tribune that they have learned a lot about recuperation time between games from the Munster SHC round robin phase which saw them play four out of five weekends.

"The round-robin has prepped teams very well. That was a magnificent competition but fairly testing on us with logistics and recovery. The guys know the routine at this stage," said Moloney.

"We like Thurles and I'm sure Galway do as well. We have great memories and great days so it will be a bumper attendance."
