Moloney says Banner are maturing all the time

Clare joint-manager Donal Moloney during the Munster SHC tie against Limerick

Donal Moloney reckons Clare have matured considerably over the course of the Munster SHC round-robin series.

"The lads really found out a lot about themselves in the last number of months. That's no surprise to us. We always knew it was there. It was just a case of patience and work with them, let it eventually come out," the joint-manager said after the Banner comfortably accounted for Limerick yesterday to qualify for their second successive Munster SHC final.

"The last number of weeks, their leadership has just been phenomenal. When we lost in Cork there was no panic. We played quite well - not many people agreed with that but we did."

Moloney felt Clare were the fresher side considering it was Limerick's third game in as many weeks.

"A big factor here today was the fact it was Limerick's third weekend in-a-row. You could clearly see in the second half there was nothing in the legs. So that was a big plus for us," he added.
