County champions Kilmurry/Ibrickane are on the look out for a new manager.

Former player Aidan Moloney took over the side in 2016 and guided the club to back to back titles, but has decided now is the right time to step away from the position.

Moloney told the Clare champion that it was a pressurised job given the fact that it is his own club, which brings about its own pressures.

"It was a long year and I'm not ready to start again," said Moloney. "I took the decision to stand down after the match on Sunday. I had it in my head that I was going to do it beforehand.

"At times, there's a lot more pressure because everything you do is scrutinised 100% and every decision you make is examined. You expect that as a manager but when you're with your own club, it's a tough job. However, I fully enjoyed it and the players were superb in every respect."
