U12 BOYS

Our U12's played in the annual Baileboro 9 a-side tournament on Saturday. Due to the lack of subs our 9 dedicated players had to play every game without a rest. Finally we lost a wonderful semi-final to Cavan Gaels who proved too strong. Our lads earned huge respect from all who watched their efforts and were applauded by the opposition after games.

U17 BOYS

U17 boys had a good win against southern Gaels last Saturday on a score line of 0-17 to 0-3.

Both teams had already qualified from the group stages and coincidentally they now face each other in the semifinals. No date has been fixed yet but it is sure to be a closer encounter.

UNDER 10 BOYS

Cuchulainns U10 boys took part in the annual  Lavey tournament last Saturday morning.  The boys had a slow start in the group stages with a loss to Denn in the first game followed by a hard fought draw with Castlerahan.  Ultimately it was the slow start in both of these games which meant we didn’t reach the knockout stages but it was encouraging to see a good recovery against castlerahan where Cuchulainns played their best football in the second half.  A consolation game was played against Laragh where some of our youngest players showed their skills and they fought hard all the way.  The bravery of our players was never in doubt throughout the tournament and we hopefully learned that a good start is half the work ......for next time !
