Cant believe how Ollie Texas Brady was overlooked. Aiden Elliott was by far the best keeper Cavan ever had in my opinion. He had unbelievable reflexes.

These kind of things are always flawed anyway! Like having McCabe wing forward! He was a midfielder and won an all star as such! Now he was either the best midfielder in that era or he wasn't! He shouldn't have to be accommodated in a different position to make room for other midfielders

Jamsie, funnily enough, dermot was selected for his all star at wing forward, despite playing midfield for the entire season. .tends to happen when you have 3 good MFs in a season. .eamonn o'hara got one a few years ago aswel

McCabe played lots of times at wing forward in his earlier days.

Let's not even start this argument! He also played full forward as a target man or when not fit but He was a midfielder and won his all star based on midfield performances! Putting him at wing forward on the allstar team (like they did with Sean cavanagh) is a cop out! You're either one of the best 2 midfielders that year or you are not!

Richie when people look back at his career they won't be remembering big games where he had a stormer at wing forward! I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be on this 'best of' team but put him midfield where he belongs! Unfortunately someone will lose out but at least it's done properly! If ya ask me bumping him up to the forward line is a bit of an insult

Jamsie mac I agree with you. He was definetely along with king the best 2 midfielders I saw playing for Cavan. Caralon was good too but he didn't have the vision McCabe had.

John Joe O'Reilly was also centre back not on the forty. He was picked on the Millenium team for half back.

redboots you have the wrong end of the stick here. a century is 100 years. 50 years is ... er.. 50 years.. there were 2 john joe O' Reillys.

also if its the best championship 15 regardless of popsitions then why have a goalkeeper at all. why not all midfielders or all forwards. surely it should be the a TEAM consisting of the best man in each position. If Mccabe is deemed not one of the 2 best midfielders then he shouldn't be there.
