Heard a few whispers today that Pierson and Lyng are gone off the panel. If so it does not bode well for our future. Carr seems to be upsetting some of the players which is not necessarily a bad thing. However these 2 players are some of the best footballers we have and seeing as neither played against Antrim this will probably make things worse.

lyng can leave if he wants,he didnt get playing for his first game back from injury and he wants to leave,goodluck to him if thats his attitude.pierson has a reason to be annoyed,i was expecting him to be starting for both games.

I was hoping to see Pierson start the next match and improve the forward line. This is not good news if true we don't have a wide selection of players at inter county level.

Why has Pierson not got game time. I always rated him as one of the best forwards in Cavan. Im sure not playing has annoyed him. Has he been training?
As for Lyng, I'd be surprised if he left. Sure he is only back from injury.

pierson is in the top 2 forwards in the county,, yet tommy carr picked 10 lads ahead of him on saturday between subs an positional changes,,, i dont think the man has a clue...

Jinky15 i agree with you a 100%.the cavan players had a meeting tues nite to try and get the weekend games off.like what is the need for this its two weeks until there next game.by right there should have been a round of championship games this weekend.in tyrone and derry the play club championship games maybe 2 or 3 days after a county championship match. pearson wasnt at the meeting

If Gerard Pierson has left the panel----. I have never seen him fit in the last 3/4 years. If he wasn't picked last week end it was because he was not going well in training before and after the Fermanagh match. I am also shocked to hear that Michael Lyng has gone too. He picked up a serious injury a couple of weeks before the Fermanagh match therefore he was not training and T.C. was going with those that were match fit. After last week-ends non performace I honestly believed that the panel would have had a serious meeting this week at training with a view to showing us loyal supporters that they are proud to wear the County Jersey and play with pride on Sat 11Th July in the Qualifiers. Who would want manage Cavan?
