Would it be fair to say now that the UK want Brexit that funding will not be forthcoming from them so looks like it's going to be a non starter now. A few months ago they were informed that a car park would be 10 miles away so hardly showing any interest in supporting the new stadium plan.

Can you please explain how you've managed to link in brexit to funding for Casement Park? How in gods name did you come to that conclusion?

Because the promotion of our national game up North has been supported by the British government through the EU I.E grants ect . Do you think all the money was coming from the GAA cash pool ??? Once the British government is propped up by the DUP to leave the EU ? Casement will be dead in the water. There have been so many obstacles put in it's way so far I feel this is the final nail in the plans. I hope I am wrong but I don't think so. Car park ten miles away from the proposed grounds capacity down to 35000 do you think it will go ahead. ?? I was of the opinion Casement was going to be a multi purpose stadium I feel all the objections against anything to delay it will continue and continue.
Posted in todays Irish News.
The Casement Park stadium project cannot proceed without more public funding, the GAA has told Stormont officials. (Do you think the unionists will support it ?????.)
