Favourable draw for Breffni

This morning's draw for Round 1 of the All-Ireland football qualifiers worked out favourably for Terry Hyland and his Cavan team.

Looking at some of the teams in the hat it could have been a lot worse than a trip to Ruislip to take on London on Saturday, June 20.

For instance, they avoided the losers of Armagh versus Donegal as well as Tyrone and Down.

It provides the Breffni County with the ideal opportunity to get their championship campaign back on track following the one-point local derby loss to Monaghan.

Butlersbridge's Lorcan Mulvey might have a thing or two to say about that, however, as he scored eight points in the Exiles' recent Connacht SFC defeat by Roscommon.

Two years ago, Hyland & Co qualified for their first ever All-Ireland SFC quarter-final appearance courtesy of a 1-17 to 1-8 victory over London at GAA headquarters.
