Laragh Club Notes
May 12, 2013The Seniors were out on Saturday evening last were we took on Muintirconnacht at home the game ended a draw in what was considered a fair result Muintirconnacht scoring 1-05 to Laragh 0-08. Next weekend we play Bailieboro at home on Saturday evening the 18th May the senior game is at 5:30pm with the junior game to follow at 7:00pm. With both clubs going well it's due to be an exciting event.
Under 14
The Under 14 met Kingscourt last week and came away with a convincing win in what was described as a solid performance by the Laragh side outscoring Kingscourt 6-10 to 2-01. The Laragh side played well all over the field with half back Jake Mc Govern outstanding at centre half back and Jamie Cooney getting a goal playing wing half back. The u14 side are out again Monday evening the 13th May away to Cavan Gales in Terry Coyle Park at 7:30pm best of luck lads.
Membership
Membership is now overdue and can be obtained from any committee member.
Juvenile Committee Fundraiser
The Laragh United Juvenile committee will hold table quiz on June the 14th in order to raise funds in support of our U14 team who will represent Cavan in Feile 2013 at the end of June. This is an extremely important and honourable occasion for the club, the team and their families as we represent our club as the best team in the county competing with the best in the country. It is asked that we get behind these lads and show our support and pride in preparing for the competition. The U14 team themselves are also holding a fundraiser titled "The Kick To Feile" on Saturday the 1st June again it promises to be an exciting event as the team begin to concentrate on the competition so the club is asking everyone to get involved and show our appreciation to these young players and support them in their Feile 2013 campaign.
