The Leaguers went into this Saturday evening home fixture hoping to continue their winning form. Killeshandra opened the scoring with points from Finbarr Rudden & Declan Mc Kiernan. However Declan Mc Kiernan came back with a point for the Leaguers and Mot followed with two points from Liam Hennessy and Ciaran Caffrey. At 20 minutes gone Killeshandra had a good lead with the score 1-4 to 0-3. Mountnugent came back before half time with two frees from Liam Hennessy & David Givney which left the Leaguers with a two point lead at half-time. Mountnugent came out more determined in the second half and opened the scoring with points from Ciaran Caffrey and David Givney. Points followed from Paddy King, Cyril Reilly, Thomas Reilly & Daniel Luby which secured a five point lead for Killeshandra. A great goal from Daniel Luby in the 25th minute would have extended Killeshandra's lead but it was deemed a square ball. Mountnugent came back in the 29th minute with a point but it was too late as the final whistle blew soon after and the Leaguers secured the home win. Final score Killeshandra 1-11, Mountnugent 0-9.
