Cavan captain Padraig O'Reilly faces a race against time to be fit for the Ulster championship clash against Donegal.
The Ballinagh clubman missed a league match against Drumgoon last Sunday as he is suffering from a hamstring strain and will undergo intense treatment in a bid to have him fit for the Donegal match.
Cavan manager Terry Hyland is also sweating over the fitness of Gearoid McKiernan, while David Givney is on the treatment table at present, having suffered whip lash that needed hospital treatment, but he is expected to resume training this week.
