May 01, 2012Blotto Draw
The Blotto Draw took place in The Crosskeys Inn on Monday 30th April. The winning numbers were 3,9,14,15. There was no jackpot winner. The weekly winners of E25 were McCabe Family Cootehill, Martin & Catherine Gaynor Ballinagh, Vincent Brady, Michael Galligan, Marion Connolly. The next draw will be on Monday 7th May in The Carraig Springs. Jackpot is now E2,300.
Cavan ACFL Div 2 2012
Denn had two games in Division 2 of the Cavan ACFL League in the past week. On Wednesday 25th April the team hosted Cootehill in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys but were beaten on a scoreline of 2-10 to 0-6. On Sunday 29th April the team travelled to Terry Coyle Park to take on Cavan Gaels. They came away with a victory on a 1-8 to 0-5 scoreline.

Under 16 League 2012
Division 2 - Group 1
The Denn Under 16 team played St Killians in the final Round 5 in Group1 of Division 2 last Thursday evening 26th April. Unfortunately they were beaten on a scoreline of 1-16 to 1-4. The team have finished second in the group and will now play Mullahoran in the quarter-final of Division 2 on Thursday 10th May at 7pm in St Matthews Park, Crosskeys.
Under 14 League 2012
Denn were defeated by St Joseph's on a scoreline of 4-14 to 2-6 in their Division 1B, Round 2 encounter on Monday 30th April. They then faced Knockbride on Thursday evening 3rd May and played out a 3-12 to 5-6 draw.
Denn GFC Monthly Meeting
The monthly meeting of Denn GFC will take place in the clubrooms on Friday 11th May at 9pm. All members are asked to attend.
Lucozade Sport Collection
Could all club members, teams, managers and coaches please help to collect as many Lucozade Sports bottle caps as possible by 31st August. The club could win E10,000. Please contact Geraldine on 087 9543214.
Kellogg's GAA Cul Camp Job Application forms
Kellogg's GAA Cul Camp Job Application forms are available from club secretary Geraldine Lynch (087 9543214) or on the Cavan GAA website, www.cavangaa.ie. Minimum criteria for the post is the GAA Foundation Coaching Award. All applicants must be over 16 years of age. All three forms, application form, declaration form and garda vetting form must be completed and returned to: Cavan GAA - Summer Job, Coaching & Games Development,Kingspan Breffni Park,Cavan. Closing date for application is Friday 1st June 2012 at 5pm. Late applications will not be accepted.
GAA Inter-County Team Open Evening 2012
The Cavan GAA Inter-County Team Open Evening 2012 will be held on Friday 11th May 2012 from 8pm-9pm in Kingspan Breffni Park 3G to launch the Provincial Championships.The senior county football panel will be in attendance along with members of the successful U-21 team who retained the Irish News Ulster championship thisyear. The panel will meet and greet young people, sign autographs and be available for photos on the night. The theme will be fun,games and inclusion. Some basic skills tests with small prizes will also take place on the night.Children/attendees are encouraged to wear their county colours. Children of all ages, along with their parents are invited come along.

Club Membership
2012 Club Membership is now due. In order to be entitled to the rights of a full member, a person must have their fees paid to the club. Stand alone adult membership is E40 for the year. Combined membership and blotto remains the same as last year. Special rate available for students/unemployed. Contact any committee member. Anyone that uses the club's facilities, even if it is only walking around the pitch must be fully paid up members to be insured.
