Seanie Johnston has lodged his transfer request with Cavan County Board.

The want-away former Breffni County sharpshooter wishes to resume his intercounty career in the colours of Kildare and has finally submitted a formal transfer request with the County Board asking for a move from Cavan Gaels to St Kevin's in Kildare.

County secretary Liam McCabe confirmed that the application has been received and that it will be discussed at next Monday night's Board meeting.

Earlier this week Cavan Gaels said they had not received any official or verbal requests for a transfer from any of their players. Tweet
