GAA : Cornafean took on Swanlinbar Saturday evening last in the Semi-Final of the division 3 league. This was always going to be a battle for the Reds whom already have been beaten by this team in the championship. The first half was close with Swanlinbar going in at the break 0-08 to 0-05 in the lead. Paul Brady played an inspirational game and were it not for him things could have been a lot worse. A goal seven minutes into the second half proved the decisive score. In a game were tempers often flared Cornafean never looked like being a threat to Swanlinbar.
