Cootehill Celtic Club Notes

March 02, 2010
Seniors
The Seniors played a very useful challenge match against Oldcastle last Friday night under lights up in Oldcastle. There was plenty of rustiness and cobwebs on show (well from the Cootehill side anyway!!) but hopefully that game will have knocked all the cobwebs out of the boys! Training continues Tuesdays and Fridays at 8 and Sundays at noon.

Cavan v Louth
Best of luck to John and the rest of the Cavan panel who take on Louth this Sunday in Drogheda in the third round of the NFL Division 3 campaign. Hopefully the Breffni men can get back on track after the loss to Antrim in the last match. Throw in is scheduled for 2.30 pm

Under 16s
Training for the Under 16s takes place every Tuesday and Friday evenings at 7 pm in Hugh O'Reilly Park. The boys will play in the next round of the Christy Shields Memorial Tournament on Saturday week 13th March on the 3G pitch in Kingspan Breffni Park. More information in next week's notes and on the club's website.

Cavan GAA Media Awards
Cootehill's Colm Smith has been nominated for the 2009 Cavan Intermediate Player of the Year. The voting deadline has passed and many thanks to all who have voted for him. The winners will be announced at the Awards night in the Hotel Kilmore this Friday 5th March at 8.30pm so best of luck Colm!!
