Hunt to take over Cavan hurlers

Former Meath hurling manager John Hunt is expected to be appointed Cavan's new hurling boss in the coming days.
A native of Tulla, Co. Clare, Hunt will succeed Michael Walsh in the role, having managed Meath club side Donaghmore-Ashbourne until recently.
The Breffni County struggled to make an impact in this year's National League, finishing second from bottom in Division 4. They suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Monaghan in the Ulster championship before losing to the same opposition by 0-9 to 1-11 in the quarter-final of the Nicky Rackard Cup.
