Cavan SHC winners Mullahoran pay tribute to the late Donal Kelly at Kingspan Breffni
Newly crowned Cavan senior hurling champions Mullahoran St Joseph’s paid tribute to former team mate Donal Kelly after last Sunday’s final victory.
A Killeshandra native, Donal died tragically in December at the age of 34 and was a former member of the Cavan senior hurling squad, as well as the St Joseph’s panel for the last number of years.
Following Mullahoran’s 2-9 to 0-12 win over Pearse Og at Kingspan Breffni last Sunday afternoon, members of the team raised the number seven jersey when celebrating with the cup to honour Donal’s memory, having played in the left half-back position for the club.
