Registration Weekend

Postponed club registrations will now take place on this Saturday March 10th, and Sunday March 11th. All juveniles MUST be registered to take part in any activities, matches or training. Registration for our ladies teams will take place on the same day. Committee members will be available on the day to explain the 'Chairde Dún a Rí' scheme, which is great value for all families! Everyone is welcome to register on this day - Players, non players and new members. New club gear from Masita online will be on display in the clubhouse throughout the weekend.

Committee meeting next Thursday March 8th at 9pm in Club rooms. All apologies to secretary Agnes Clarke.

Garda Vetting

In the GAA any person who carries out a role of responsibility such as coaching, managing or training underage teams or indeed adult teams that contain any player under 18 yrs. of age must be vetted. It also applies to organising underage activities or refereeing underage games.  All those involved in any juvenile activities within our club must be vetted!  Contact our Children's Officer,  Sonya Morris-Monaghan.

The Allianz National Football League fifth round V Down called off last Saturday in Kingspan Breffni, to be rescheduled. Cavan play Roscommon in rd 6 on Sunday March 18th at Dr Hyde Park at 2pm. Best of luck James and Padraig.

Last shout out to senior players to please ensure that your registration fees are paid for the year! Fees will be collected at training next weekend. Players are running the Allianz National Football League forecast pools as a fundraiser for the duration of the league campaign.! Please support our senior players!

Lotto held in Malones. Numbers drawn 16;22;23;27. No jackpot winner. Two match 3s get €150 each Maebh Shiels and Philip Tully.  Draw next week in Clarkes for a jackpot of €3300. Help with lotto badly needed for 2018! There are nine pubs on the lotto circuit so a commitment would be once every 9 weeks! Contact any committee member if you feel that you can make yourself available! Play online lotto at or go to

Membership 2018

Club registrations for members are now in the process of being updated online for 2018. County board requires all registrations to be up to date by March. Now is the time to make sure that you have paid membership for the year for you and your family. Anyone who has not paid registration fees by March 4th will not be updated and will remain unregistered for the year. Remember only paid up members for the year are eligible and insured to use the club facilities and train/play for Kingscourt Stars!

Chairde Dún a Rí

Did you know that for €20 a month you can avail of  Kingscourt Stars Club membership and insurance for the year for all the family,  a season ticket for all the family to all Kingscourt Stars home league matches,  (Game Pass Ticket will be given), and 3 lines of lotto draw every week. This is great value as there are no training fees for our players throughout the year! Information will be available on registration days Saturday March 3rd and Sunday March 4th.

Child protection; Thanks to all club members who recently completed their child protection course given in the Baile Hotel by Cavan GAA. Along with Garda vetting and GAA coaching award it ensures all our coaches/mentors/managers have all the requirements to be involved in hurling for the year ahead. Saint Patricks Day Parades; This year, for the very first time, we will partake in two parades, in Bailieborough, and for the first time, in Kingscourt. We hope as many of our young hurlers will participate. The float is under construction in a secret location. Monday hurling; Most hurling fixtures for 2018, be that Ulster GAA, Monaghan and Cavan GAA will be scheduled for Mondays. Nine counties are beginning to use Monday as their hurling fixtures day this year which is a big step forward for hurling development. We expect all our players ages from U11 upwards to be available to us going forward. There will be no gaelic football fixtures on Monday, as like last year, so we hope many more Gaels who have not had the opportunity to play hurling will now take this chance as there should be no reason not to as Monday will be free from other GAA activity. The dual GAA star is still out there, join us. Under 6/8/10; Training indoors away from the elements in Kingscourt on Thursday and Bailieborough on Friday. Registration forms will be given out this week with registration Thursday 15th March in Kingscourt and Friday 16th March in Bailieborough. Under 12/13; Indoor training Thursday 7.45-8.45 in Kingscourt Community Centre. The final round of DKIT blitz is Sunday next. Registration and outdoor training coming soon.
