Ballinagh GAA are delighted to be hosting a play from the nationwide famous writer and actor Seamus O'Rourke on Sunday the 25th of March at 8pm in the community centre. Starring Seamus O'Rourke and Arthur Riordan the show has been described as "Irresistible, Heartfelt" by the arts review, "A beguiling mixture…..humour and sadness" by the Irish Independent and "Poignant and beautifully handled" by the Irish mail on Sunday. Tickets cost just €15 and are available for purchase in all local shops and pubs and also on the door on the night. A donation will be made on behalf of the club to St.Felim's National School Ballinagh Autism Unit. The event is kindly sponsored by Dominic Smith Expert Electrical Cavan.

 

 

Lotto Results
The numbers drawn for the week ending 26/2/18 were 5-13-25-29, there was no Jackpot winner. €25 Winners; Alexis Baxter (Shangarrai), Damian O'Reilly (Pineview, Drumheel), Marian & Roy (c/o Bradys Pub), Colin Gumley (Forge Brook) . The losing ticket drawn this week to be entered into the draw for a weekend away at the end of the month was Steven Reilly (Woodview, Drumheel). Next week's Jackpot is €5'900. Ballinagh Saint Patrick's Day

Ballinagh St Patrick's Day Parade is commencing at 4.30 pm on March 17th from Community Centre car park. Please come along and support. Those wishing to enter as float can do so by contacting

Minor League: Ballinagh vs. Kildallan, Monday the 19th of March at 12pm in Denn.

Minor League: Ballinagh vs. Kildallan, Sunday the 25th of March at 6pm in Ballinagh.

U15 League: Ballinagh vs. Naomh Brid, Thursday 5th of April at 7pm in Ballinagh.

U15 League: Ballinagh vs. Drumgoon, Thursday 12th of April at 7pm in Drumgoon.

U15 League: Ballinagh vs. Kildallan, Wednesday 18th of April at 7:30pm in Ballinagh.

 

 

 

Walking/Running Track

New improved lighting has been installed leading from the dressing rooms up to the top pitch walking track. This will leave it safer for people who decide to use the track at dusk or in the dark. The lights will be on every evening until 10pm

 

 

 

RIP Patricia Wharton

The death has occurred of Patricia Wharton (nee O'Rourke) Crossdoney, Co. Cavan. Sunday, March 4th, 2018 peacefully in the loving care of her family and the staff at Cavan General Hospital. Beloved wife of Joseph Wharton and devoted mother of Andrew, Anthony & Joanne. Sadly missed by her loving Sister Rose (Co, Kerry) daughter in law & son in law and her adored grandchildren Shane, Ciaran, Dan, Jack, Andrew, Amy, Kathlyn & Adam. Sisters in law, nephews, nieces, all her relatives and friends. Patricia and her husband Joe, and sons Anthony and Andrew have been involved in sponsoring Ballinagh teams down throughout the years via their local bus company Whartons Travel. Patricia's son Anthony has also served on the committees as vice chairman. Her two grandsons Shane and Ciaran play senior football with Ballinagh for the past number of year. Ballinagh GAA extend our condolences to the family and friends of the Wharton's at this time. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.

 

 

 

The Yellow Submarines Underage Training

Ballinagh Submarines training will continue on every Saturday morning from 10.30am till 11.30am in Ballinagh Community Centre. Any kids aged from 3years up till 6 years are more than welcome. This is a great opportunity for your child to have fun, social-interaction, meet new friends, and learn the basics of Gaelic Football, while being supervised in a safe environment  and coached by GAA coaches. Please spread the word, with new faces always welcome. A minimum of 2 euro will cover the charge of community centre, with maximum of 5 euro per family. Training for Under 8s and 10s will also take place on Saturdays at 10.30am till 11.30am, in where again the focus will be on fun, participation, and learning the fundamentals of Gaelic Football. The GAA is the heartbeat of communties, and is a great way to get involved in the local community, in where we welcome  everyone to the Ballinagh GAA club. A big thanks to the coaches who are giving their time on a Saturday morning to help develop and coach the future of Ballinagh GAA.

Just get your fuel with McCaughey fuels worth over €200 online and receive a token and place them in boxes which are in both Gavins and Moores.
