The Late Peter Kenny Nursery man Peter Kenny, Arklow Road, Aughrim, 81, died on Friday, January 11, at Loughlinstown Hospital. He was the vice-president of Aughrim GAA Club. He was a great Gaelic supporter at local and national level. He took great interest in all aspects of the GAA. The Aughrim club provided a guard of honour at his funeral. He ran a nursery for a good many years, up to his illness. He was a great neighbour and friend. He was son of Thomas Kenny and Mary Kenny, both deceased. Peter was an obliging person. His death will be regretted over a wide area, none more than the Aughrim community. Remains were removed from the hospital to the Church of the Sacred Heart, Aughrim. Funeral Mass was on Sunday, January 13. Burial took place afterwards to Maccreddin Upper Cemetery. Fr O'Brien, PP, officiated.
