The late Paddy Hade The community of Tullow was saddened with the death of Patrick (Paddy) Hade, 69 Dublin Road, Tullow. Paddy died peacefully in his home on Monday, September 11, 2006 following a long illness. Paddy fell ill 15 months ago and he bore his illness with great dignity and courage. Married to Josie, Paddy drove an oil lorry for 33 years. In his later years he drove a mini bus for Tullow Day Care Centre where he was an extremely popular driver with a kind word for everyone. Born in Straboe in November 1940 Paddy moved with his wife Josie to Tullow following their marriage. A kind hearted and sociable man Paddy will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. he enjoyed travelling and visited his children in America and Germany on several occasions over the years. A great lover of the outdoors Paddy was very green fingered and loved nothing better than to spend an evening gardening. He also enjoyed sport and played football with Grange in his youth. He remained an avid follower of GAA throughout his life and enjoyed attending and watching matches. Paddy also enjoyed socialising and got great enjoyment from going to his local for a pint and a bit of craic where he was known for his witty nature. His grandchildren brought him great joy and he never tired of spending time with them. Paddy was buried in St Patrick's Cemetery, Tullow on September 13, 2006 following Requiem Mass in the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Tullow. Paddy is survived by his heartbroken wife Josie who nursed him devotedly during his illness, sons, Luke, Francis, Michael and daughter Teresa, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, his mother Mary, sister Ann, brothers, Seamus and Oliver and a wide circle of family and friends.
