Here's the players that caught our eye across an eventful weekend of championship action...

1. Darren O'Malley (Roscommon)

Was alert to the danger of a punched effort by Damien Comer in the closing stages of the Pearse Stadium clash.

2. Declan Kyne (Galway)

Just as in the semi-final win over Mayo, the Tribesmen's full-back refused to yield an inch to his opponents.

3. Sean Mullooly (Roscommon)

The youngest player on the field, the Rossies' full-back enjoyed a ding-dong tussle with Damien Comer.

4. Chrissy McKaigue (Derry)

The captain marked his return from suspension with an inspirational second-half point in the comeback against Meath.

5. Sean Collins (Clare)

It was a weekend to remember for Clare GAA and the Collins family in particular as father Colm and sons, Sean and Podge, edged out Laois.

6. Conor Moynagh (Cavan)

The Breffni County shook off their Ulster SFC semi-final replay hangover to advance to Round 3A at the expense of Carlow.

7. Aidan Breen (Fermanagh)

The nature of their defeat was a bitter pill to swallow for Fermanagh but Breen can hold his head high as he kicked three points from the half-back line.

8. Alan O'Connor (Cork)

Showed Cork supporters what they've been missing with a commanding display on his return to action against Limerick.

9. Niall Daly (Roscommon)

Raised two white flags and supporters of the primrose and blues will be hoping he can replicate a fine display in Sunday's replay.

10. Diarmuid Masterson (Longford)

Contributed three points as the Midlanders pulled the rug from under Monaghan's championship ambitions.

11. Diarmuid O'Connor (Mayo)

Mayo made hard work of Fermanagh but the outgoing 'Young Footballer of the Year' was one of Stephen Rochford's team's better performers.

12. James McGivney (Longford)

Denis Connerton's players produced the shock of the championship in Clones and McGivney sent over three points.

13. Robbie Smyth (Longford)

Another star of Longford's remarkable success, the Abbeylara clubman finished as his side's top scorer with 1-3 (1-1 from play).

14. Niall Kelly (Kildare)

The Lilies will look to Kelly to maintain his rich vein of scoring form when they square up to Mayo on Saturday.

15. Danny Cummins (Galway)

The elusive corner-forward caused plenty of headaches for the Roscommon rearguard and finished with three points to his name.
