The senior football championship semi-finals take place this weekend.

The pairings were confirmed on Tuesday night when Old Leighlin saw off Mount Leinster Rangers in their replayed quarterfinal.

They now take on Rathvilly on Sunday evening, but the latter are sweating over the fitness of JJ Smith and Barry John Molloy.

This is set to be a close contest regardless of who is or isn't on the field for either side.

The first semi-final takes place on Saturday evening as Palatine take on Eire Og. The latter have come out on top in recent years when the sides have met, but there could be a reversal this time around.
