Manager Turlough O'Brien is convinced that his suspension won't hit Carlow's championship hopes.

O'Brien is currently serving a 12-week ban arising from an incident which took place following the Barrowsiders' controversial Allianz League loss to Offaly in Tullamore on March 15. Selector Tom Wogan will take his place on the sideline when Carlow open their Leinster SFC campaign against neighbours Laois in Netwatch Cullen Park on Saturday evening.

"We've a good management team and one of the lads will just take over. They're good guys and we'll just work around it," O'Brien told the Irish Sun.

"It has not affected the players. We've moved on from the league and our eyes are fully focused on Laois."
