There is a possibility that the 2015 Carlow senior football championship may have amalgamated sides in it.

The idea was mooted at a county committee meeting this week where intermediate and junior clubs would amalgamate to compete in the senior football championship.

A football forum group was set up to provide ideas of trying to improve the code in the county and this was one of theirs that was met with a lot of positivity from county board members.

The proposal is set to be discussed again in January when the forum group have all their findings made.
