Palatine manager Mick Lillis believes that if side produce a performance in their semi final against defending champions Old Leighlin, then anything is possible.

Old Leighlin are favourites to advance to the final, but Lillis stressed to the Carlow Nationalist that his charges could have a major say on the outcome of the match yet.

"All we look for is honesty and effort and we will see where it takes you after that," said Lillis, who added that he was delighted to have full back Conor Lawler back in the fold.

"He has had a tough year with injuries, but he is still a class player."
