Kelly: we didn't take our chances

August 27, 2014

Carlow camogie manager Seamus Kelly was left to rue a number of missed chances as his side lost out to Limerick in the All-Ireland Junior A final at the weekend.

The Barrowsiders lost by five points in the finish, but Kelly stressed to the Carlow Nationalist that had they taken their chances, then it could have been all so different.

"Looking at the first half, it was 0-03 to 0-02 in favour of Limerick. We had our goal chances. They had theirs. It went Limerick's way and that is sport. You can't expect to turn up on any given day and have everything going right for you," said Kelly.

"Remember it wasn't too long ago that Carlow camogie wasn't seen on the map. Now they have contested two All-Ireland finals."
