Murphy delighted to get second chance

August 20, 2014

St Mullins' manager Pat Murphy admits to be pleased to get a second chance in the under-21 hurling final.

A 0-14 draw against Naomh Eoin means that the sides must meet again following an epic contest that saw the sides' level on no fewer than twelve occasions.

"We are delighted to be still in. Myshall fought very hard. We matched them in a fight. Their club is flying at the moment. They beat Rangers at senior level, defeated them at under-21, but the final was 50/50," Murphy told the Carlow Nationalist.

"Whoever wants it more will win it. There are good chaps on both sides and that if great for the future of Carlow hurling."
