County champions Old Leighlin have appointed Des Brennan as their manager for the 2011 campaign.

The Laois native resides in Dublin, but will take charge of the defending champions this year and he brings a wealth of knowledge in the game with him.

Having won seven senior football championship medals with St Joseph's, he then went into management and lead Dublin side St Mary's to a division 1 league title, before managing Moorefield to the Kildare SFC title. Tweet
