St Patrick's left in limbo
January 19, 2012
St Patrick's GFC has found itself in the unusual position of being unable to appoint a chairman.
The club held its annual general meeting last weekend and outgoing chairman Chris Murphy, who has served five years in the position stressed that he was not going forward again.
However, none of the members present were willing to fill the role, leaving the club without a chairman. This is the latest in a number of setback that have been bestowed on the club in recent times.
Last November, club officials met with Croke Park and Leinster Council chiefs to draw up a plan in order to bring the club forward. Now though, they are faced with the prospect of seeing the club go out of existence, if a new chairman is not sought at the reconvened AGM next Saturday evening.
