Carlow appoint new sec

January 12, 2012

Carlow's Daniel St. Ledger
Carlow GAA have appointed a new secretary at their annual convention.

St Mullins' clubman Ger Lennon has taken over from the late Tommy O'Neill as county secretary and he is the first person from his club to hold a position on the executive committee.

"It is a great honour for me, my family and my club," Lennon told delegates at last weekend's convention. "It isn't that I'm stepping into something completely new in that I have been involved so much already.

"I am hoping that I get as much cooperation from the clubs as I got when I was involved with fixtures. I got on well with the clubs and hope that will continue."
