SFC: O'Hanrahan's pip Palatine

July 22, 2010
O'Hanrahan's 1-8
Palatine 0-10

O'Hanrahan's had just one point to spare in last Sunday's county senior football championship meeting at Dr Cullen Park.

It was Palatine that held the 0-4 to 0-3 half-time lead thanks to early points from David Kehoe and the frees of Brian Kelly, which helped to outweigh John Brennan's scores for O'Hanrahan's.

In the second-half, Mark Davis and Kehoe exchanged early points, before scores from Willie Doyle, Mark Carpenter and David put O'Hanrahan's into the lead.

Palatine levelled and then regained the lead after Niall Reid, Kehoe and Jason Kane had all found their range, but a Brennan goal put a spanner in the works as and they could only respond with a point from substitute Ciaran Moran which left them one short and O'Hanrahan's with the victory.
