SFC: Kilbride edge out St Patrick's

July 22, 2010
Kilbride 1-11
St Patrick's 1-10

Kilbride came form behind to pip St Patrick's to a vital win in Group B of the Carlow SFC last Sunday.

In an enthralling game of football, the Saints bagged an early goal to set the tone when Eoin O'Toole flicked an effort past Derry O'Toole in the Kilbride goal for an early advantage.

The winners battled back brilliantly though as points from Stephen Curry and Seamus Gray saw the teams go in all square at the interval on 1-4 to 0-7.

St Patrick's made the better restart and pushed three points clear when Jack Kennedy raised the white flag with just over a quarter of an hour to go.

However, in that time Kilbride upped it a gear and through Darragh Foley's well-taken goal they paved the way for a savoured victory.
