June 25, 2010
Eire Og 1-8
Old Leighlin 1-7

Eire Og booked their place into the final of this year's Senior Football League Division One final on Monday after seeing off Old Leighlin by the narrowest of margins at Dr Cullen Park.

The winners put in a scorching performance in the opening half-hour, which saw Sean Gannon hit the back of the Old Leighlin net and Simon Rea and Bernard Hennessy hit the points that put them into a 1-8 to 0-3 lead.

In the second-half, Old Leighlin turned it around and struck unanswered points through John Hayden and Cathal Coughlan before Pat Hickey was dragged down in the Eire Og square.

From the resultant spot-kick Coughlan converted, but it still wasn't enough for Old Leighlin as Eire Og held on for the victory to advance to a final meeting with Palatine.
