Rathvilly skipper confident ahead of provincial test

Rathvilly captain David Nolan believes his side can upset Offaly champions Clara in this Sunday's Leinster club SFC quarter-final at O'Connor Park, Tullamore. With home advantage and an impressive victory over a fancied Rhode side under their belts, Clara are tipped to come through the challenge of the Carlow hurlers and book their place in the last four of the province. However, Nolan has a different take on things; insisting that his team haven't feared a side they have come up against so far this season. "We know about Clara. We know that they can't be too bad if they beat Rhode. They must have a lot of good qualities and Laurence's were a tasty side as well. Rhode are a very good side and have been competing hard for Leinster titles down through the years. They should probably have won a Leinster crown," said Nolan. "We haven't feared any team this year yet. We like the challenge and look forward to it. If a team is good enough to beat us then they will have to beat a good team. We set our plans. If they work, they work and if they don't so be it on the day. "That has been the way over the last two years with John Divilly. We play our own game and we hope it is good enough," he added.
