May 28, 2009
Carlow GAA club Tinryland has recently suffered its third break-in since a new motorway opened close their grounds, only last year. The M9 motorway and the Carlow bypass were both opened last year and since then the clubhouse have been robbed and damaged on three separate occasions. Club chairman Michael Murphy revealed that the security within the club had to be upgraded in order to try and prevent any further incidents. "This is the third time the clubhouse has been broken into since the new motorway opened. Because of these raids, we have had to spend more and more money on upgrading our security at the club," said Murphy.
