Win a Training Weekend for your club

May 13, 2009
"Fail to prepare, prepare to fail". One of the more famous quotes from a certain Cork man. Last season he brought his Sunderland side to the Marriott Johnstown House Hotel and Spa in Enfield to get ready for their second season in the top flight. Now Johnstownbridge GAA club in Kildare is offering your team the chance to train like the pros as with the top prize in their development draw a two-night training camp in the hotel. The winners of the draw will gain access to the full size all weather Prunty designed GAA pitch, gym and pool at the Marriott plus B&B and an evening meal for 30 players. The full value of the prize is Eu7,500 and with tickets available at Eu150 it's surely worth a punt. Recently Kieran McGeeney had Kildare put through paces playing challenge games on the pitches as well as doing some team bonding work in the private surroundings. Other teams from the West have also used the Marriott as a pit-stop en route to Croke Park. On top of this Ireland's Grand Slam winning rugby stars had a bonding session at Christmas. This is the first time club sides have been offered the chance to use the facilities. Second prize in the draw is a set (25) of O'Neills jersey and there is also a stay for two in the Clifden Station House in Connemara as another consolation prize. Another sweetener sees all entrants receive a 10 per cent discount on group booking for Johnstown House. If booked before 30th June a club can avail of a 500 voucher for O'Neill's Sports. Of course this does not come cheap so we would ask everyone to support this draw which we hope will capture your imagination.
