Hickey revels in family role

Mount Leinster Rangers stalwart Pat Hickey has admitted that having three sons involved in the team makes winning games all the more special. This will be the side's third consecutive final and they are also seeking their third consecutive win on Sunday when they face Naomh Brid in the decider. MLR are backboned by the Hickey brothers James, Willie and Andy and Pat revealed that hurling and football has been bred into the lads all their lives. "It's phenomenal what we have achieved. I hope I'm wrong but we will never see the likes of them in the club again," said Pat. "When you go in at home we talk hurling and football. "It is the same with the 25 or 26 panel members. They are like a family. Regardless of what happens we have a phenomenal club with some great minors coming through. The future is bright."
