Naomh Brid are just 60 minutes away from lifting the senior hurling championship title and for manager Eoin Garvey, it would be an amazing achievement. Despite having managed the Carlow senior hurlers and being a renowned coach within the county, Naomh Brid are the first senior club that Garvey has managed. Garvey has worked with all age groups at all levels, apart from senior club hurling and he is keen to finish his first year on a high Sunday evening. "It is my first time to manage a club senior hurling side. I managed every level but never a senior club," said the former Carlow hurling manager. "I personally believe the role of the manager is overstated. I believe the energy has to come from the players themselves." Tweet
