Down to last four

September 25, 2008
The senior hurling championship has officially reached the last four following last weekend's final round of group games and there are two exciting matches down for decision. Both games will be played at Dr Cullen Park and the first into action will be the meeting of St Mullins and Naomh Brid at 2.15 and what a match in store. The sides met at the same stage last year with St Mullins coming through quite convincingly after a replay, but Sunday's game is expected to be a lot closer. In the second game at 3.45pm, Mount Leinster Rangers continue their quest for a football and hurling double when they face Naomh Eoin in the semi final. MLR are seeking their third consecutive title and it would take a brave man to bet against them, especially as they have the momentum at the moment.
