Championship action continues

September 04, 2008
Over the course of Friday and Saturday, there are a number of championship matches down for decision as clubs bid to reach the knockout stages, while others try to avoid a relegation dogfight. There are three games down for decision on Friday evening as the action kicks off in the SFC as Rathvilly and Old Leighlin meet at Dr Cullen Park, while Eire Og and Ballinabranna travel to Tinryland. The other SFC match being played is the meeting of O'Hanrahan's and Grange at Tullow. The action resumes in the SFC on Saturday evening as a further three matches will be decided. Bagenalstown will host the clash between Mount Leinster Rangers and St Patrick's, then this will be followed by Fenagh facing Kildavin-Clonegal at the same venue. Meanwhile, Tinryland and Palatine will attract a big crowd at Dr Cullen Park as they go to battle with the latter needing a win to have any chance of making it out of the group.
