Carlow's Paud O'Dwyer has been chosen to referee Saturday week's All-Ireland U21HC final between Kilkenny and Limerick.
O'Dwyer, who will act as a linesman at Sunday's All-Ireland SHC final, is a native of Wexford but has been a member of the Palatine club in Carlow for the last number of years.
Two years ago, a grief-stricken O'Dwyer took charge of the All-Ireland MHC final between Galway and Tipperary after his mother Bridget had passed away on the eve of the game.
Congratulations to Paud O'Dwyer on his appointment as Referee for the U.21 All Ireland Hurling Final on Sat. 9th in Thurles ! pic.twitter.com/2CFSo2hXfY
